About 60 members and students attended the seminar:
The seminar started with fun pictures PPT about benefits of becoming CPAA; it is very interesting and imaginative.
The seminar was about Individual Income Tax planning especially for expatriates; quite boring.
There were 8 tables with 7~8 people sitting in one; Food tasted OK, mainly sea food course.
Most of them were returnees from Australia. I was in Table 6: two Monash Uni alumnis met again in this event after 10 years; 3 members and 5 students in my table.
Simon was the host of tonight's event and jointed us after opening remarks. I got to know that there are about 1,000 CPAA members now in mainland only, of which 400 are working in Shanghai.
Overall it was organized quite well, people rushed to leave after dinner with no time to do networking.
Don't know what would be the next event...
